Ann Persson Grivas, Director General of LFV, Air Navigation Services of Sweden, is the new Chairman of the board of the Borealis Alliance. She takes over from Ásgeir Pálsson, CEO of Isavia ANS, the Icelandic air navigation service provider, who has been Chairman for the last two years.
Ms. Persson Grivas, who has been a member of the Borealis Alliance board since 2017, took over as Vice-Chair in January and was appointed Chairman at a board meeting of the Borealis Alliance on Wednesday October 28th.
Ann Persson Grivas was appointed Director General of LFV by the Swedis Government in April 2017 and came from the Swedish Social Security Agency, Försäkringskassan, where she held the position of Deputy Director General. She previously worked for Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and has extensive experience in leadership and change management roles.
The board also unanimously chose Anders Kirsebom, CEO of Avinor Air Navigation Services in Norway, as Vice-Chair of the Borealis Alliance.
Mr. Kirsebom has been CEO of Avinor Air Navigation Services since 2012. Prior to that he was the Division Director of Oslo, Trondheim, Stavanger and Bergen airports in Norway. Mr. Kirsebom has an extensive experience from the the Norwegian railway sector before joining Avinor in 2001.
The Borealis board decided on various matters during its meeting , including an enhanced emphasis on environmental issues. This would entail the promotion of the alliance´s achivements in this area along with going further to find new metrics and improving environmental performance. There is a general concensus amongst the Board membes to strengthen the cooperation within the Alliance.
