The Borealis Alliance, the leading alliance of nine North European Air Navigation Service Providers, has appointed Kalmer Sütt as its new Director.

Borealis Alliance is pleased to announce the appointment of Kalmer Sütt as its new Director, effective March 1. Bringing extensive experience from his leadership at Estonian Air Navigation Services, Kalmer Sütt has been a driving force in modernizing aeronautical information management. As Head of the Aeronautical Information Management Department, he led a team of specialists through significant digitalization and automation initiatives, establishing long‑term strategic frameworks and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance. His strong track record in leading complex transformation projects and forging successful partnerships with external technology providers positions him well to guide the Borealis Alliance into its next phase of innovation and collaboration.
Commenting on the appointment, Thorsten Elkjær, Chair of the Borealis Alliance Board and Chief Commercial Officer at Naviair, said: “Kalmer brings deep expertise in air navigation services and understands the critical need for safe, efficient, and cost-effective ATM solutions for customers. He also has strong knowledge and hands-on experience in leading groups of specialists in achieving strategic goals that ensures the delivery of critical systems in the aviation industry, and I’m delighted to welcome him to the team".
