New Chairman of the board of Borealis Alliance

Thorsten Elkjær, COO of Naviair in Denmark, is the new Chairman of the board of the Borealis Alliance.

With the appointment Thorsten Elkjær takes over from Ivar Värk, Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of Estonian Air Navigation Services (EANS), who has been Chairman for the last two years. A big THANK YOU to Ivar Värk for the work he has done as Chairman in the past two years.

The Borealis Alliance board has had Thorsten Elkjær as a member since March 2021. He took over as Vice-Chair in November 2022 and was appointed Chairman at the board meeting of the Borealis Alliance held in Copenhagen on Friday, October 11th.

Thorsten Elkjær has been COO of Naviair since October 2020, and before that, he held the position as Director Operations. Thorsten Elkjær started his career as an air traffic controller in Naviair back in 2000.

At the meeting in Copenhagen, the Borealis Alliance board also unanimously chose Raine Luojus, as the new Vice-Chair of the Borealis Alliance.
